'Thomsonesque' villa with asymmetrical elevations; 1 and 2 storeys, shallow-pitched broad-eaved gabled (slated) roofs with plain timber trusses. Snecked ashlar, polished dressings, some windows pilastraded, original glazing; 2-storey centre with L-plan front (gable right), single storey ranges either side doorway recessed right in narrow link with billiards room 5 lights in clasping low range left. Low boundary wall to street, distinctive gatepiers with Egypto-Greek detailing similar to Thomson's Ellisland, alongside.
